1. Prep - This could mean throwing the smoothie ingredients in the blender the night before (sans the liquid), or laying out your clothes & packing your work bag the night before. If there’s little ones, make that over-night chia pudding tonight and pour it into easy to grab containers to make tomorrow morning a synch.
2. Leave 5 minutes earlier. Why stress about the commute? If you follow hack # 1 (the prep) you’re gonna give yourself a more relaxed morning. There’s no need to release extra cortisol in your body (the famous stress hormone) if you don’t need to. So, knock out some prep work so you can leisurely drive into the office.
3. Catch your breath. At the beginning and end of your daily tasks (you know going into or out of a meeting, grabbing lunch, taking a call, or maybe its more like combating meal time, nap time, and play time) try a quick-and-dirty relaxation technique. Mindful breathing. It’s simple. Take one deep inhale and one deep exhale to cleanse your breath, mind + reset the moment. It will provide you with a calmer nervous system, a clearer mind, and a moment of mindfulness.
